Based in Frankfurt am Main, the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) has been showcasing Destination Germany on the global market for 60 years, through a broad range of events and campaigns. These have included international tourism fairs, workshops and PR events.
Since the year 2005 ifA (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) with its Cross Culture Program is partner of the Federal Foreign Office for intercultural dialogue and networking activities with Islamic characterized countries. Also in the coming year 2018 the CCP program will give the possibility to young professionals and voluntarily engaged persons to strengthen their intercultural and professional competencies in various working fields and to gain international experience through a stay in Germany.

On September 12, 2017, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) released the publication ‘Education at a Glance 2017’.
The most important message with regard to Germany is that the share of recent tertiary graduates in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields is 37%, and hence the highest of all OECD and partner countries, reflecting Germany’s strong technological focus.

Due to a restructuring of their consular services, the administrative and consular districts of the German Foreign Missions in the United Arab Emirates will change from 1st September 2017. This means that the consular jurisdiction of the Consulate General in Dubai will be extended to the whole territory of the UAE, including the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
